Tank relining services

It’s really important for every industrial site to carry out an inspection of any liquid carrying tanks they have on site on a regular basis. Over time the materials these tanks are made from will see signs of wear. Tanks may also be damaged, something which may go unnoticed until the inspection is carried out.

A leak from a liquid containing tank can cause significant damage to the environment if the liquid is of a hazardous nature. In many cases the Environment Agency will have to be informed and if procedures have not been followed a hefty fine may ensue.

If you have old liquid storage tanks which are in a poor state of repair, it may be more cost-effective to have them re-lined instead of purchasing new.

Tank relining and repair services can be conducted really quickly, which means you won’t have to buy a new tank or arrange for the disposal of your old tank. Using Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), a primer coat of resin is applied to the tank before stranded matting is added. A tissue veil is then added followed by a surface resin coat and final top coat.
