Easy to use spill kits

Every site which uses hazardous substances should look at their spill response plans should a spill of any liquid occur. Making sure employees are protected, stopping a spill further contaminating a protected area and making sure that a spill is effectively cleaned are three key spill response criteria which should be looked at individually and planned for before a spill occurs.

It can be difficult to pre-empt a certain type of spill, so many companies decide to invest in a range of spill kits, including general purpose spill kits, to effectively treat spillages.

Some of the things which you might find in a general purpose spill kit include:

• Absorbent pads

• Absorbent pillows

• Absorbent socks

• Absorbent granules

• PPE

• A bag for the disposal of the used products

A general purpose spill kit can provide an adequate spill solution for the collection of non-hazardous spilled substances. They come in a wide range of different sizes and can come in a carry bag or even a wheeled bin, depending on the size of kit you choose.
